Hello people! This is the story that I am writing. I wrote most on paper. Hope u will enjoy!
Chapter 1
My name is Icy. I am not your average teenage girl. I have powers; I can control earth, fire, water and air. I keep my powers secret; unlike those people you call ‘superheroes’. They just want all the attention and they think that they are the only ones who have powers. Anyway, I’m going to be late for school
I’m in the school hall and as I walked to my seat, I looked around the hall. First, I saw Raven, who was Jacob’s sister, the shape-shifter. Next, I saw Jacob, who could levitate things. Third, I saw my best friend and neighbour, Jodie, she can’t talk but she can communicate by telepathy and she can read minds. Lastly, I saw my second best friend, Kiyoko, the shy but powerful girl who can control jewels. The rest I forgot. I sat down and assembly began. Miss Cherry, the headmistress, walked onto the stage. “I have an announcement to make,” Miss Cherry said, “There is going to be a transfer student going to Class A.” I was very excited. A transfer student? In my class? It wasn’t usual! She came during lesson. Her name was Misty and she could control mists. I am going to stop here for a moment to tell you how my class works. We have two teams. The boys on one side, the girls on the other. Luckily for us, Misty was a girl. “Score one for the girls!” Jodie exclaimed in our minds. Mr Air, our teacher suddenly appeared. Misty screamed and conjured a thick mist in the classroom. I used my power to blow away the mist than I calmed Misty down. The lesson began. “Okay, students, to-day we are going to learn how to switch powers with each other. Pick a partner and get ready to switch!” Mr Air said. I chose Jodie as my partner so, in the end I ended up with Jodie’s power and she ended up with mine. Jodie almost burnt down the classroom and I had no idea how hard it is to control telepathy. When we got back our powers back we were not the only ones who were relived. After that the lesson got boring and the day dragged on. When it was finally time to go home, Jodie and me headed home. We were talking about the latest fashion trend when I noticed Misty walking in the same direction as us. We found that Misty’s house was being painted and she needed somewhere to sleep. Jodie invited her to stay at her house. We hurried home as the clouds were beginning to darken.
When I reached home, I hauled myself up the stairs. From the opposite house, I waved to Jodie and Misty. After doing my homework, I sat on the window still and watched the sun set The next morning, I brushed my teeth, showered, changed into a long black dress and dragged a comb through my slivery-white hair. “Get down here and eat your breakfast!” my mum shouted. I went down but not before noticing a very thick mist. After breakfast, I met Jodie and asked her about the mist. She didn’t know what to make of it. We saw Misty limping towards school. We ran to her and asked her about the mist. Misty didn’t say anything. She just pointed to something. A girl dressed in green was standing on the other side of the road. I recognised her. She was Poison Star. I knew her because her family and my family were enemies. She can control nature. “What are you doing here?” I spat. I was a little bit rude because she being able to control nature and I power to control earth were just too alike. “I came to take my sister home.” She replied coolly. I looked at my comrades, who was her sister? “Who is your sister?”I asked. “The one you call Misty.” I was appalled. Misty? I looked at her. What in the world? Jodie shouted. “Did you know?” I asked Misty. She shook her head. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder. “What’cha doin’?” Kiyoko asked. I told her about what happened. Kiyoko took it quite calmly. Then she screamed.
After I clamed Kiyoko down, Poison Star pulled Misty to her side. “You’re coming with me.” She said. When Kiyoko heard that, she started chanting. Then I noticed Poison Star was wearing emeralds. Suddenly, the emeralds jumped of her dress and glowed red. “Eek!” Poison Star screamed as the red-hot emeralds flew at her and chased her to a corner. “Okay! I’ll join you!” screamed Poison Star. Join us for what? I thought. “Your father is still alive. But he needs the Blood Diamond to survive.” What she said stunned me into silence, my father died in combat 3 years ago. Star didn’t say anything. When we finally got to school, Mr. Air asked us why we were late and who was the girl beside me. I answered the first question but not the second. Surprisingly, Mr. Air took Poison Star under his wing. Poison Star quickly became Mr. Air’s favorite student. Poison Star (I’m going to start calling her Star) arrived just in time for a pop quiz, and luckily for her, she learnt the topic. Star scored the highest that day. Soon, when Mr. Air asked a question, he would ask Star to answer, even if she didn’t put up her hand. After school, Star wanted to enroll in my school. Unfortunately, Raven and Jacob were there and what they do they do together. When Jacob and Raven saw me waiting in the corridor outside the office, they came and cornered me. After they questioned me, they promised to keep their mouths shut. I stumbled back to where I was standing. Are you okay? Jodie asked. I’m fine, I answered.
We met after school. I shoved everyone into my secret underground base that I dug all by myself. They were deciding about whom Star was going to stay with. They thought that Star should stay with me. I was about to object when Raven and Jacob came in. “She could stay at our house.”
